Tech problem … mysteriously self-fixed

My Outlook Express stopped working today, so I’m accessing and sending e-mail online through my AT&T Mailbox. This means I cannot access any e-mail sent to me before this morning until I get my OE fixed.

Update September 13: Yesterday I looked up fixes for this problem but didn’t have time to try them out. Then, today, when I restarted my computer, my Outlook Express came back on its own. Mysteriously, however, the folder structure was gone (meaning all the e-mail folders are now on the same level instead of having a “tree” relationship with each other). It so happens that the loss of the folder tree structure is what happens when you delete a file called folders.dbx, which is located in the Outlook Express store folder, which is one of the recommended fixes I did not get around to. So it’s as if this fix occurred on its own. A gremlin entered my Outlook Express store folder and deleted folders.dbx, thus fixing OE.
