The worthless network news

I virtually never watch the network news (the last time I tried it was probably six months ago), but I was curious to see how they would cover Gen. Petraeus’s much anticipated testimony, especially as I had missed the opening parts of his appearance earlier today. I turned on ABC, as I figured Charles Gibson would be the most “responsible.” He presented virtually none of Petraeus’s testimony, which was, after all supposed to be the big news of the day, wasn’t it? Instead, the ABC segment was all polls on the war, criticisms of the administration, stories on how bad things are going in Iraq, and so on. The tv news networks are not deserving of a single atom of respect.
