Brown puts Band-Aid on Britain’s bleeding borders, and the L-dotters see right through it

Is there a rule in the world of journalism which says that only very stupid or very dishonest people are allowed to write newspaper headlines? The story in the Telegraph, reprinted in the Washington Times, says that Britain is going to demand English skills of immigrants and that this will reduce immigration by 35,000 per year. At present Britain is receiving several hundred thousand immigrants per year. Yet the Washington Times gives this story the headline, “Britain halts immigration.”

This is a Band-Aid on a massive wound. This is not serious. But guess who gets it? The commenters at! One after another the L-dotters call for an end of Muslim immigration, an end of immigration, and out-migration. Discussions like this show that the change in consciousness on immigration that became manifest during the immigration fight last spring (see this and this) has lasted. Grass-roots conservatives “get” the immigration issue as never before.

I’m copying some of the thread below:

A tad late with the millions of Muslims you’ve already got in place, there, puppy.

It’s too late and there should be a moratorium on Muslim immigration altogether until you can control what you already have. (Not going to happen.)

Has anyone NOT heard the old adage about “locking the barn door after the horse is gone.”…

“Under the government’s new “points” system, there are three main categories of immigrants coming to Britain from outside the European Union to work—highly skilled, skilled and low-skilled workers. The first two groups eventually can settle permanently in Britain; the third group cannot.”

Has there been any “study” that shows it is the “low skilled” who are killing the infidels? …

Stop all immigration in a high tech world.

At least they’re going to do something about it. Which is more than you can say for us.

Sounds like a plan to me.

The Dems have always wanted us to “follow” Europe. In this case , I agree.

Putting on the brakes is only going halfway. We need to put it in reverse and lock it. I think we have tried the diversity ploy long enough to have figured out it’s a failure and a detriment to our society, as it once was.

I guess we’re still quite a ways from the D-word that everyone knows (but no one will yet say out loud) is inevitable—deportation. But unless all the jihadists that England—and the entire West—has so foolishly let inside suddenly convert to something reasonable, there’s no other way down the road.

Would those doctors that attempted to blow up London and Glasgow fall in the highly skilled, skilled, or low-skilled category? Perhaps the categories should be narrowed to Muslim or non-Muslim to reduce confusion.

Exactly. The list of those trying to kill us included doctors, architects, and engineers, all on the fast track. A friend who is an “Executive Recruiter” (that’s “headhunter” to most of us) tells me she’s seeing a scary number of people with names like Mohammad, Ali, Ahmed, and Abdul in the resumes coming to her, with degrees from Egypt, Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Indonesia, Algeria, Sudan, Nigeria, Turkey, and the like. All of them now in the U.S., and all of them here on a green card, not on H-1B’s. Meaning they can work anywhere in the U.S.

You really think their first loyalty is to the U.S., and that they can sincerely pledge allegiance here? You’re crazy if you do.

And here’s the ugly reality.

Illegal immigration is killing us and must be not only stopped but reversed.

But Legal immigration is not necessarily A Good Thing either. And this is an example of why.

Millions of Muslims from Arab countries with millions of square miles immigrating to tiny Britain and even tinier Holland. Doesn’t anyone in those countries teach simple math in schools?

Deporting muzzies from Old Europe is the same as trying to unload Gitmo, no country wants them!

Same with the palis in Israel—they were tossed out of Jordan and other so-called Arab countries—their “brothers” don’t want them for the same reason we’re trying to kill “em!

They hate us and want us dead—deal with it!

Now they (and we) need to re-institute banishment. Act up with your national hatred and lawsuits designed to break down cohesiveness and security, and out you go. Don’t care where, just go. OK for this to apply to non-Muslims as well.

I read the article. I don’t see what the Brits are trying to do as “putting the brakes” on immigration or anything else.

I’m profoundly unimpressed by the “learn English” solution to everything. I don’t give a rat’s patootie whether wets &/or terrorist sympathizers speak English or not! What a scam. Oh, he speaks English now. Problems all solved! Move along.
