The Fall-Out

Here is a lengthy excerpt from Andrew Anthony’s new book, The Fall-Out, about the transformation triggered in his thinking and attitudes by the 9/11 attack and also by the worsening moral and social chaos of today’s Britain. Parts of it are wordy and overly self-referential, but parts of it are powerful, as when he describes scenes in today’s London where teen-age black female gangs set upon victims in the street and nobody does anything.
