Bush administration legitimizing Hamas

As the Bush administration has continues to pursue its worst principles, such as open borders, and its most deluded principles, such as the creation of Muslim democracy, it has also continued to abandon its handful of correct principles, such as opposing terrorism.

Thus, though it is the official policy of the U.S. government that Hamas is a terrorist organization, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has in recent months repeatedly referred to Hamas as a “resistance movement.” Apparently, all you have to do to graduate from “terrorist organization” to “resistance movement” in the eyes of Rice and President Bush is win a democratic election, then follow that up with a murderous coup.

Has there ever been a U.S. president who talked more loudly and carried a smaller stick?
