Thompson: “This is our home and we get to decide who gets to come into our home.”
Fred Thompson’s remarks about our natural right as a self-governing people to decide whom we allow into our national home show an instinctive understanding of the immigration issue that puts him far ahead of the other “first tier” candidates. However, I repeat that based on my observations of Thompson as a U.S. senator in the 1990s, I consider him a dullard. If further observation reveals that to be an untrue prejudice, I will gladly change it.
