Request to a reader for information on the Knoxville double murder

In the context of the kinds of racial “offenses” by whites that dominate the media’s coverage of America the way Napoleon dominated Europe, a few days ago a reader sent me the inconceivably horrifying details of the rape/torture/murder of a white man and woman by blacks in, I think, Knoxville which the major media has not covered at all. It was too horrible to read at the moment, and I put it aside, but now I don’t know if I can find it in my Inbox. If the person who sent it sees this note, could he send it to me again?

UPDATE: The reader who had sent me the item I was looking for about the ghastly double racial murder that took place in Knoxville in January has kindly sent it again. However, now that I see the blog article, I recall that I saw it when it came out in February. I didn’t post anything on it then, and I can’t now, because the blogger, Workingclass Conservative, gives no sources for his sensational horrific statements about what was done to the victims, details that go far beyond what I’ve seen in other accounts. A writer who writes extreme things like this, without telling where he knows them from, does not have his act together and therefore cannot be used as a source himself.

FURTHER UPDATE: Readers have sent me a variety of links, most of them from January, repeating the same details that I discussed in my January blog entry on this story. The reason I posted this current entry was that a reader had sent me Workingclass Conservative’s article which said that Christopher Newsom had been raped and his penis cut off. Because Workingclass Conservative stated this out of the blue, giving absolutely no source for the information, I didn’t want to pass it on. However, among the several stories I’ve received since then, one cites official sources and another, though not citing any sources official or unofficial, seems potentially credible. I discuss them below.

First, in “Files in couple’s slayings opened,” Knoxville News Sentinel, February 2, reporter Jamie Satterfield tells what was actually in the district attorney’s presentment to the Grand Jury. He writes:

The presentment also reveals that Newsom was raped, an allegation that had not yet been made public. All four suspects—Cobbins, Davidson, Thomas and Coleman—are alleged to have participated in committing a particular sex act against Newsom. The same four are accused of committing three distinct acts of rape against Christian.

This is the only story I have seen in the mainstream media that reports that Newsom was raped. The story does not say anything about his penis being cut off.

Jamie Satterfield’s phone number is listed: 865-342-6308.

Second, the blog The Conservative Voice, in an entry posted April 5, 2007, quotes at length an article that appeared in the University of Maryland student newspaper April 7, 2006 [sic] by Stefanie Williams, a self-described liberal feminist student (no link provided to the student newspaper):

Trust me when I say this story is more newsworthy than the Natalie Holloway case, the Duke lacrosse scandal and Anna Nicole Smith combined. A young couple, students from the University of Tennessee, were victims of a carjacking and were kidnapped, raped, tortured and eventually murdered by five people. Descriptions of their deaths were so brutal that I had to read them several times to fully process the implications.

Newsom was kidnapped, raped and beaten. According to reports, his penis was then cut off before he was shot several times and set on fire, all while his girlfriend watched. His body was then dumped alongside train tracks. Christian was kept alive and gang-raped multiple times over a span of four days. Her breast was cut off while she was still alive and her kidnappers sprayed cleaning fluid into her mouth to cleanse it of DNA. Her body was then put into a garbage can.

Unfortunately, Williams does not identity the “reports” from which she derived this information. Too many bloggers, reporters, and student reporters in our society do not seem to understand that if information is to be credible, it must have a credible source. However, while her reportorial skills are sadly lacking, the serious and informed tone of her article suggests that she knows what’s she’s talking about.
