How can one be a conservative if there is no such thing as conservatism?

Here’s an amazing item from last May that I had forgotten about and just came upon by chance. Robert Spencer, after repeatedly calling me a liar and ignoramus for suggesting that he is not, in key respects, a conservative, turned around and said that conservatism is an outmoded concept. As Jeff in England says, you couldn’t make this up.
