Goldberg supports immigration enforcement—not

The Animal House conservative, Jonah Goldberg, has an article on immigration at the Los Angeles Times in which he appears to be supporting border enforcement. As Patrick Cleburne shows at vdare, however, it’s only an appearance. Yes, Goldberg does call for some kind of border protections—not because he is concerned about illegal immigration and wants to stop it, mind you, but only because he’s afraid that the white racist masses will get stirred up if the government doesn’t do something.

It reminds me of Ron Unz’s article in Commentary in 1999, in which he said that the main harm that could come from mass immigration would be the rise of white nationalism. To those charming neocons, it’s the majority population of this country that is the problem.
