Before there was Eurabia, there was Vatican II
(The below comment from a European reader casts a revealing and disturbing light on the difficulty the pope and the Church have in drawing a line against Islam. How can the pope take a consistent stand that the god of Islam is a god of violence and hence untrue, given the fact that the Catholic Church has formally recognized the god of Islam as being the same as the Christian God?)
Conservative Swede writes:
New Vatican secretary of state Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone said the pope’s position on Islam was in line with Vatican teaching which says the Church “regards with esteem also the Muslims. They adore the one God.” Where does this come from?
It comes from the Nostra Aetate of the Second Vatican Council:
3. About the Moslems The Church regards Moslems with esteem: they adore the one God, living and enduring, the all-powerful Creator of heaven and earth who has spoken to people; they strive to obey wholeheartedly His inscrutable decrees, just as Abraham did, to whose faith they happily link their own.
Monotheism: Christians believe in one God. Muslims believe in one God. The Vatican here says that it’s the same God. So Jehovah is Allah, and Allah is Jehovah. So all Catholics are worshipping Allah.
This is the doctrine of the Catholic Church since the ‘60s.
Cardinal Ratzinger clearly intends to fight this doctrine, but he’s too weak, since there are too many Catholics around him who are happy to be joining the Muslims in worshipping the One God, fighting anyone who intends to break this Molotov-Ribbentrop pact between the Catholic Church and Islam. People talk about Eurabia and the Euro-Arab alliance led by the French. But this is much worse.
Furthermore the Lumen Gentium (§16) has made Muslims honorary Catholics, and tells us that Muslims will go to the same heaven as Christians. So if the Catholics are being good Catholics worshipping the One God, they will be rewarded by entering a heaven full of Muslims.
Here is the crucial quote from Lumen Gentium, §16:
But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator. In the first place amongst these there are the Mohamedans, who, professing to hold the faith of Abraham, along with us adore the one and merciful God, who on the last day will judge mankind.
This is the magnitude of what Pope Benedictus is fighting.
Catholicism needs to be reformed out of this evil perversion. And where are the reactions from Protestant and Orthodox Christians? They just silently agree with this. If Ratzinger does not win this fight, Christianity is doomed. But he looks weak…
During the years I have had several discussions/confrontations with aggressive Hindu nationalists regarding religion, where they have always connected Christianity with Islam, through Abrahamic monotheism. I have always strongly opposed this horrible misconception. However, now I have learned that I have been factually wrong about this.
A Chinese friend told me about a friend’s daughter who had joined Falun Gong. And since Master Li tells them that they will go to heaven if they commit suicide. Her family, with the help of the Chinese authorities, did everything to stop her from committing suicide. But in the end she succeeded. When someone has this strong urge to commit suicide, eventually it is impossible to stop him from doing it. Forceful de-programming is the only thing that can help, but in many cases it won’t bite.
If Christianity goes, so does Western Civilization. It’s worth fighting for.

This was something I didn’t know much about, only vaguely. The new thing you’re bringing out is, before there was the political/social/cultural program of Eurabia, which included the Muslim world and the Islamic identity in Europe on an equal basis with Europeans, there was the spiritual program of Vatican II which included Islam equally in the Christian substance. For the guardians of the Catholic faith to say that the murderous sadistic Allah, Allah who demands the conversion, death or de-humanized treatment of everyone on earth, Allah who says, “The trees and stones will say, ‘Oh Muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him,’” Allah, whose whims constantly change according to the whims and convenience of his mouthpiece Muhammad, is the same god as the God of the Bible, is beyond obscene. Any Christian of ordinary intelligence would understand or be readily persuaded that it is not true that Allah is God. But the hierarchy of the Catholic Church thought it was true. If you want to find the fountainhead of the modern liberal corruption of the West, that is as good a location as any.
