Supporting the pope for the wrong reason

An e-mail from me to Michelle Malkin:

You are missing the point on the pope and the Muslims. His quote of Emperor Manuel II was most certainly an attack on Islam, a truthful and deserved attack, as I explain here. Let’s support him for doing that, instead of supporting him as merely another innocent target of crazy Muslim rioters.
