What Ahmadinejad believes

Must reading. Patrick Poole at FrontPage Magazine explains the apocalyptic belief system of the president of Iran (hereinafter referred to in these pages as “Johnnie”). The key point: Johnnie adheres to a minority Shi’ite sect which holds that the manifestation of the Hidden Imam and thus the final victory of Islam on earth can be triggered by human action, namely violent action creating war and chaos. Thus, as Johnnie sees it, using nuclear weapons against Israel is a win-win proposition.
