Two absolute proofs of the superiority of American culture

One, unlike in every other Western country, American usage requires that commas and periods always be placed inside close quotes, which looks far better and makes far more sense, even if, from a narrowly reductionist perspective, it is not “logical.” Two, we don’t particularly like soccer.
