More good news about how we’re winning in Iraq

An Iraqi tennis coach and two of his players were stopped in their car by gunmen, were ordered to get out, and were shot to death. Their offense? Wearing tennis shorts.

Sunni cleric Eid al-Zoubayi said: “Islamic religion is an easy religion, and it allows wearing sport shorts as long as they don’t show the forbidden parts of the body, so the acts that are targeting the sport are criminal.”

The cleric’s implication is that if they had been showing forbidden parts of the body and had been shot to death for that, that would not have been criminal. His implication is that it is not criminal to kill someone for any violation of Islamic law.
