“We don’t need no stinking border walls!”

This should be enough of a smoking gun for anyone, writes Paul Nachman.

Go to the Mexican American Political Association web site (I urge you to save the web page). On the left (English) side, look at the line below “We Want!” and you’ll see the “No Border Walls” demand.

I don’t think the implications of this have received anywhere near enough attention.

I made that point in my one VDARE blog entry, but people in general seem not to have picked up on it.

Here is what I think is Mr. Nachman’s point. The Mexicans are not into any of this “Comprehensive Immigration Reform, enforcement plus border protestions plus amnesty plus guest worker” folderol. They want amnesty and guest worker and no enforcement and no border protections. Yet the politicians pushing the CIRA package take no cognizance of this underlying political reality. Even after the CIRA is passed, the Mexicans will keep agitating against any border protections and enforcement. And given that the motivating impulse of CIRA is to accommodate the Mexicans, how would the administration and the Congress have the political will to resist the Mexicans’ unrelenting demands for the weakening or cancellation of all enforcement? Thus the insanely generous amnesty will not be the end. The unimpeded mass entry of illegal aliens into the U.S. will continue, leading to further demands for a further amnesty.
