Bush should resign

Under the Constitution, the President of the United States is charged to see that the laws are faithfully executed. President Bush has not only refused to enforce the laws of the United States against persons who have entered this country without authorization, he has dishonestly said that such enforcement is impossible. “We can’t deport them all,” he keeps declaring, as though an overnight mass deportation of 12 million persons were the only way to remove illegal aliens. He thus blatantly dismisses even the possibility of enforcing the law and protecting our country from this invasion.

For his manifest bad faith to the Constitution and the American people, for his contempt for the laws he is sworn to uphold, President Bush should either be impeached or resign his office.
