Bush, in India, praises outsourcing of U.S. jobs to India

Stephen writes:

More evidence that “America no longer exists,” or that Bush doesn’t believe in it—his saying in India that Americans should not fear outsourcing but should work to appeal to Indian markets. I don’t have an informed opinion about whether outsourcing should be opposed, but it’s awfully improper for the president of the U.S. to speak in this manner in a foreign country. He also credited Ghandhi for inspiring MLK to lead America to “overcome the injustice of segregation.”

It’s your traditionalist perspective that’s changing my way of looking at things, and I see a healthy nation does not represent itself in such terms. In particular, Bush and the Republicans seem compelled to legitimize themselves in such liberal terms.
