The end of parliamentary rule in Britain?

Britain is passing so many new laws so rapidly that ordinary parliamentary procedures are seen by the government as a hindrance. Therefore the Labor government is pushing through a law that would enable government ministers to amend laws on their own, without the parliament’s involvement. Sound incredible?
