The Open-Borders Empire Strikes Back

The editors of the Wall Street Journal excoriate the anti-illegal immigration bill passed by the House last week. They hate everything about it, and, in various ways, let on that they are opposed to the very idea of having and enforcing any immigration laws. So it’s shaping up as a truly interesting confrontation between people who want our laws enforced and our borders protected, and people who don’t. And for the first time perhaps, it really is a confrontation. Instead of standing on a mountain smearing the borders-enforcers as racists, as the Journal is wont to do, it is now forced to acknowledge their existence as an actual faction that has power in the Congress, and to respond to their arguments and their agenda.

Three cheers for Tom Tancredo and his fellow members who voted for this breakthrough bill.
