Tsunami fatalities as fraction of world population

A news program reports that 220,000 people died in the tsunami. Out of curiousity, I was wondering, how many people are that as a fraction of world population? World population at the beginning of 2005 was 6,486,882,948, which divided by 220,000 equals 29,485.83. About one in 29,000 people alive on earth were killed in the tsunami.
