Update from Australia

Thanks for the recent link to Oz Conservative and for your own efforts in reporting the Cronulla events.

It’s certainly heartening to see the Australian working-class showing such a good spirit of solidarity in the face of attack (even after 30 years of multicultural indoctrination).

I do not have any overall sense at the moment of how the Muslim-Australian confrontation is going. In two Australian papers, I see no more stories about mayhem by Muslims, though there are stories in Sydney’s Daily Telegraph that more violence may be coming to Cronulla: A summer of fear, Six beaches unsafe, and (not directly related to Corulla) Plot to kill Howard.

It may also be that the whole thing has petered out and all that is left is the usual script of blaming whites. The Age, a leading liberal paper based in Melbourne, reports a poll showing that three-quarters of Australians think the Cronulla riot last Sunday was fueled by racism.
