VFR, March 6, 2003: For invasion, against democratization

Two weeks before the invasion of Iraq, I warned against the folly of believing that we could democratize a Muslim country. Since President Bush was proceeding with his policy in any case, I could only hope that it would work, but, as I said, I saw no reason to believe that it could work.
