Correction about Able Danger
I suggested in one of my earlier posts on Able Danger that the members of this military intelligence group, in excessive deference to the letter and spirit of Jamie Gorelick’s Wall, chose not to transmit its information on Muhammad Atta to the FBI. This appears not to be correct. Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer, who was a member of Able Danger, has said that on three occasions the group scheduled meetings with FBI agents, and that each time Pentagon lawyers cancelled the meeting.
