Gaza retreat described as strategic disaster

Concerning the appearance of Ariah Eldad on C-SPAN last Saturday, a correspondent writes:

Sorry you missed it. It was worth hearing. Eldad is not a pretty face, but he speaks the truth clearly, spelling out the disastrous military and counterterrorism implications, for Israel and for us, of turning Gaza over to Hamas, giving our terrorist enemies a strategic safe haven with unfettered access to the sea, and control of the land border with Egypt. In his eyes and those of a growing majority of Israelis, the Gaza retreat is a looming disaster that can and must be averted, and Eldad vows that it will be.
