EU leaders as the Undead

The sinister character of the European Union is unrepentantly and dramatically on display at the current meeting of EU biggies in Brussels, some of which I saw this past evening on the BBC News. As everyone knows, ratification of the EU constitution requires unanimous support of the member states, which means that the resounding “no” votes by the people of France and the Netherlands have defeated the document. Yet the top honchos of this anti-human organization, acting as though no referenda had taken place, keep unabashedly saying things like, “We must move forward. We are convinced that the way we have chosen is the best way.” Frozen perpetually in their cold-blooded, Ecole Polytechnique superiority, these Eurotots (European totalitarians) don’t even go through the motions of respecting the right of self-government of their respective peoples, which gives a terrifying idea of how they would govern once the pretence of popular ratification was no longer needed.

However, even as they spit on the notion of democratic consent, they unanimously mouth the slogan du jour that a “pause” in the ratification process is now needed for purposes of “reflection.” So what’s going on here? For these brainless, soulless, mechanical post-humans of the New European Order (writes Paul Johnson: “What is notoriously evident among the EU elite is not just a lack of intellectual power but an obstinacy and blindness bordering on imbecility”), the unification and elimination of the ancient nations of Europe under an unaccountable bureaucracy is a non-negotiable principle, indeed the only true principle, while acceptance of the lawful voice of the people against that unification is nothing more than an unprincipled exception.
