Jane Fonda rides again

On the Charlie Rose program Thursday night to tout her autobiography, Jane Fonda said:

Finally at age 62 I was ready to stop betraying myself and silencing my voice.

After all those decades of very public self-discovery and self-liberation, the poor girl still hadn’t freed herself from various forces of falsity and oppression weighing down upon her. Jane is now almost 68, and is still striving—nervously, pushily, and publicly—to find herself.
