Anti-Communist and pro-Islam
Just like a neocon, JPII strongly opposed the ideological threat of Communism, but was blind to the cultural/religious/demographic threat of Islam. In response to my phrase, “the Pope of Dhimmitude,” a correspondent writes:
This is the sad part of his otherwise admirable legacy. It is as if he and so many others had no fight left after helping to dismantle Communism. Unfortunately, Islam, I believe, is a more dangerous threat to our Christian-Judeo/Judeo-Christian civilization. Email entry |
