Bush, the loyal friend of America’s enemies

What a lovely scene. The president of the United States standing next to his amigo, el Presidente de Mexico, who just happens to be an open enemy of the laws and sovereignty of the United States, announcing that American citizens seeking to protect their country from the illegal alien invasion that is being actively promoted by the president’s amigo as well as by the president himself (remember his comment that illegals crossing into the U.S. are doing it for their families, and that family values don’t stop at the Rio Grande, and therefore they should be “welcomed”?) are “vigilantes.” If Bush had been around in April 1775, he would have stood by the Royal Governor of Massachusetts and denounced the Minutemen as lawbreakers and troublemakers. A president who shows such contempt for the American people deserves contempt himself. Which, of course, is exactly what Republicans and conservatives would be giving a Democratic president who said the things that Bush is saying.
