Republicans rejoicing in Democrats’ madness

Here’s a link at Lucianne.com from the other day, followed by a subtitle provided by the editors:

Dean Emerging as Likely Chief for Democrats
The magnificent power of prayer

The editors of Lucianne.com, a website that represents the Id of the Republican party, want a ranting nutcase to be chairman of the Democratic National Committee. They pray for this outcome. They thank God when it happens. Purely for the sake of Republican advantage, they want the other of America’s two major parties to continue to be insane, irresponsible, and anti-American, thus rendering almost half the country insane, and thus eliminating the possibility of any rational and constructive political debate in this country. As long as the Democrats continue in a Dean-like, anti-American direction, all the Republicans will have to do is clump together in a phalanx going rah-rah America, rah-rah Bush, rah-rah democracy, with no one in politics rationally questioning anything the president is doing. This is the Republicans’ ideal of American politics.

And it’s not just the editors at Lucianne.com who have this nihlistic view. Here is a sampling of some of the regular commenters:
