Regents exam questions are openly ideological

We keep finding out that things on the ground are even worse than we thought. See the kinds of questions that are being asked in the New York State Regents exams for Global history and U.S. history and government. Here’s one:

What is the major reason for differences in economic
prosperity in various areas of the world today?

(1) unequal distribution of resources
(2) the success of nationalist movements
(3) religious unity between religions
(4) membership in the United Nations
