Kerry’s incoherence, cont.

Continuing his amazing career of “nuance” (to his supporters) or utter intellectual incoherence (to those who see him as he is), John Kerry has mentioned four possible names he might choose for Secretary of Defense. The list includes Senators John McCain and Carl Levin, two politicians who over the last twenty years have had diametrically opposed records on defense matters.

I think McCain would be an interesting choice, because it would show how the two parties converge ideologically.

Aye, McCain is the kind of Republican that Chafee, Collins, and Snowe are: not rabidly beyond the pale, but not the kind of folks who champion the more vigorous defense of the republic or the keener, albeit less politically expedient, awareness that human life begins at conception.
