Michigan town gets Moslem prayer calls

Over the protests of many citizens, the city council of Hamtramck, Michigan has unanimously approved a noise ordinance that would allow the Muslim prayer call five times a day over loudspeakers. A working class city of 23,000, Hamtramck used to have a majority Polish population, but is now one-third Moslem, while Poles have fallen to 23 percent.

Happy weekend, everyone. Shine, perishing …

We should bring this prayer call to Georgetown D.C., Brookline MA, and other such places and see how the beautiful people enjoy the sounds…..

Abe Foxman and Barry Lynn call your office! Where are our usual intrepid advocates of keeping the state free of religious influence? Is there a Hamtramck ACLU to protect us from this intrusion of religion?? Perhaps one of the Polish Catholic remnant there can have the ACLU bring suit against the city council because they are offended - fat chance. Events like this prove that all the talk about keeping religion out of government is just a smokescreen for the real agenda - destroying Christianity. I’ll bet there won’t be a word about this from Foxman, Lynn, the ACLU et al. Remember the teaching of Islam in California public schools?

I agree with Carl. When Moslems start to take over America, the Lynns and the Foxmans will be at their feet. The left seeks one thing, to destroy America. They do it by secularizing and demoralizing America, and they do it by bringing in Moslems and other unassimilables to finish off the job. This is the truth, whether the Lynns and the Foxmans are conscious of it or not.

I didn’t realize that United States soldiers were gang raping women:

The Abu Ghraib Prison Photos

I guess we can use 9-11 to justify anything…I’m up for a good gang rape and if we get caught we could just point to 9-11.

Man, talk about rape rooms.

Proto-troll, the voice of the brain-dead left. Of course you are up for a good gang-rape, that’s all liberalism amounts to today.

Goodbye to sleep in past 6 am with the wailing. This isnt like church bells. The Christians in that town should set up speakers and do Christian prayers over loud speakers. Maybe the local Baptists could put up a speaker with a preacher witnessing for 10 minutes. See how long it lasts:b

This is brain-dead liberals.

To proto-troll:
From what I saw of the photos, I didn’t see any women being victimized… I saw women among the victimizers…
I have not yet heard anyone try to justify the goings on at the prison in terms of “they deserved it because of 9/11” so I don’t think that proto-troll has a leg to stand on.
The worst thing about the photos, in my opinion, is the fact that the people in charge were smiling so broadly. it doesn’t look as if they were trying some new and controversial interrogation technique, it looked as if these were poeple who suddenly became intoxicated with power.
In any case, I am certain that this abuse was not our intended policy but was the result of corruption of the officials at the prison. The people responsible should be punished and I am certain that they will be.

My own inner-city Catholic parish rings the bells pretty loudly for High Mass every Sunday at 10, as it has since the late 19th century. This is great— but why bother? The parishioners all live 30 miles away nowadays. There are plenty of Catholics living in the vicinity, but they are Hmong, Korean, Vietnamese and Mexican, and have their own churches, the Hmong’s and Viets’ just blocks away. They’re not interested in High Mass in Latin with choir and orchestra.

On the other hand, the parishioners are not interested in living within the sound of the bells. The neighborhood is too “alien”, I guess, but it wouldn’t be so alien if they moved back en masse.

The same is true of Hamtramck.

For the leftist, all non-European, non-Christian groups are a plus, so long as they are in small numbers.

Even extrememist Moslems benefit from multiculturalism for a while, since it is more hospitable to them being given a role in public life. And their presence promotes multiculturalism.

However, over time these groups will assimilate to liberalism. I’ve started seeing signs on buses by the Hispanic Health Council attacking “la homofobia.” So to the extent that immigrants are more culturally conservative (which I doubt), they become liberal after a generation or two.

I guess you could say it’s divide and conquer.

Now to Mr. proto-troll, in regard to the photos of alleged rapes of Iraqi women by American soldiers, assuming we’re referring to the same incidents, I believe these have already been debunked as fakes.

According to http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/ item on 2004, May 7:

“Arabic Language Jihadi Retract Faked Rape Photos

“In the past few days, a number of postings have been made on the Arabic language jihadi websites urging all followers to stop passing around the photos that were alleged to show US servicemen raping Iraqi women. The photos were staged. They were actually taken from a porn flick, and were released in a deliberate attempt to inflame both US and Arab public opinion against the coalition forces.”
