Can a general be a Christian?

The Muslims, as I’ve said, know that they’re in a religious war against us. But when one of our best military and intelligence leaders says—not in his official capacity, but in a talk in a church—they’re we’re in a religious war with them, then all the forces of correct thinking seek to get him dismissed from his high post in the Defense Department. After all, we wouldn’t want to offend our enemies, would we? Here’s a good column on the General Boykin controversy by Tony Blankley.

I received an e-mail from the Jerusalem Prayer Team, composed a number of noted Evangelical Christian leaders, which reported that Mohammedans across the U.S. are “mounting a campaign to pressure President Bush to fire General Boykin.”

They have invited all concerned to sign an online petition to President Bush supporting the general. Anyone interested may do so here:

Nonsense. There is no war of “them” against “us” terms of “Muslims” against “Christians”. Nor should there be. I’m sure that if we just got out of the whole Middle East and left them alone they would not be inclined to attack us. Why is it that al-queda attacked us in the first place? Is it because we are “too free” for them? Is is because we watch TV all day and they are envious of us? Is it because we get to wear blue jeans and they have to run around in traditional garb?

Roger,
The islamists are quite clear in that they want to conquer the world. Go read their sites.
The issue is that we will not submitt like Dhimmi.

Yeah, what Ron said… Roger, here’s an image for you. Download it. Print it out. Hang it on your wall. Look at it every day: http://www.jtl.org/Israel/images/Islam_will_dominate_the_world.jpg

And get a grip man! There is such a thing as r-e-a-l-i-t-y. Acknowledge it, and act upon it!!

Our commander in chief has now declared that Mohammedism is not only a religion of peace, but a religion of TOLERANCE. To Tranzis like George W. Bush, there is simply no greater virtue than tolerance. Osama must be having a good laugh about now.

I didn’t appreciate the fact that we are asked to send signatures to Jerusalem Prayer Team petitions without the ability to connect with them by email and voice our opinions.
I was especially offended by the picture with Mel Gibson where it appears that he is being ‘dressed down’ by the author of the petition. The picture was offensive and an example of the condescending attitude many Christians have, the ‘posturing’ for the public was regretable.
