Quintessential PC

For a sobering glimpse into the mindset of modern liberals, go to the main page of Doonesbury.com and see this animated cartoon. It shows a long-haired, casually dressed man walking in front of a country house, throwing seeds from a bag like Johnny Appleseed as flowers spring up. As soon as he is gone, a bald, mean-looking man drives by in a tractor and mows the flowers down. It’s the liberal view of the world, with benevolent, kind-hearted humanitarians on one side, and evil Republicans on the other. Then see this Doonesbury cartoon from Sunday, April 20 which attacks Bush as a moron for not believing in Darwinian evolution.

Psalm 17, verse 10, speaks of people who are “enclosed in their own fat.” Today’s liberals are not only enclosed in their own fat (their self-righteousness and self-love), but in their own hate.

Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick. You could at least learn about Doonesbury before you slam it. Doonesbury has won a Pulitzer prize and has been published for over twenty years. Do you have a Pulitzer prize?

Pulitzers are not given to sober, intelligent, conservative commentary.

“sober, intelligent, conservative commentary”

an Oxymoron if I ever saw one.
Too bad there the only thing out there in the media sphere is the sensationalism of Fox news and other propaganda tools.

Based on what Jake has said so far, I think he can find what he, at least, would consider to be “sober, intelligent, conservative commentary” every day of the week—on the editorial and op-ed pages of the New York Times.
