Why Hussein is unique

Why there is no “next one.” A very interesting analysis of why Iraq is unique. Saddam Hussein had only two operating modes: full defiance and full surrender, and so had no ability to adjust to circumstances to save his regime. The other bad regimes in the area are more flexible and (relatively speaking) rational.
