What Hussein might do if attacked

Former Prime Minister John Major worries about what Hussein might do in the event of war. Since he would be cornered and facing likely deposition or death, he could be expected to unleash all his arsenal, including setting alight his own oilfields, targeting those in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, or firing missiles, possibly chemical, at Saudi Arabia and Israel in an attempt to destabilise the whole region. The article doesn’t say whether or not Major supports the war. But it’s a relief to read a criticism of the war that doesn’t claim Bush’s “real” motive is oil, empire, or racism.
