Meanwhile, the Washington Post explains the mystery of how Muhammad and his accomplice were able to shoot their victims undetected and get away so easily: “Found with the gun was a tripod that steadies the gun, the high-ranking source said. Several law enforcement sources also said the Chevrolet Caprice they were found in had been modified in some way to create a hole in the car that they could shoot through. One source said the modification allowed access to the trunk from inside.”
