New poll

George Washington, with 24.3% of the vote, was the American political figure most admired by those responding to our recent poll. 21.6% chose John C. Calhoun, 16.2% Thomas Jefferson, 10.8% Jefferson Davis, and 8.1% each of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan. 10.8% would have chosen someone else, mentioning Adams, Hamilton and FDR. There were 37 votes in all.

We also have a new poll—do vote!
