New poll

In our recent poll, 58.8% of those who responded expect that the United States will invade Iraq and 41.2% expect that they won’t. There were 34 votes in all.

We have a new poll—do vote, and let me know your comments.

Adams or Hamilton, I suppose. If we had a De Gaulle, I’d vote for him.

FDR, It brought the US out of the depression. Into a World War and left it so that Truman could end it with sacrificing millions of US’s young men.

I find it distressing that as of Friday night the Father of our Country—one of the greatest men who ever lived—is trailing both Calhoun and Jefferson by one vote.

I find it distressing that as of Saturday morning, Thomas Jefferson, celebrator of the French Revolution and conjuror of that “wall of separation” between church and state, is tied for first.

On the other hand, no doubt his hostility to central government, his emphasis on local institutions, and his general libertarianism will strongly appeal to some.

Glad I could help out the Washington fans. If there was a greater man who ever trod this continent I don’t know who it would be. George Mason perhaps? Probably not but more to my liking than Jefferson. Bye the way, let’s not blame Jefferson too much for the separation of church and state thing. We all know what he wrote, it would be so nice if ALL know what he meant. Regards.
